Amy is the Front Office Manager at Mountain View Humane. In this role, she is to responsible for the business activities of the front office in order to promote to advance the organization’s mission. Prior to joining Mountain View Humane in October 2020, Amy worked as a Veterinary Assistant for the past 12 years at full-service clinics as well as the Roanoke Valley SPCA. She has four Yorkshire Terriers (Reilly, Louise, Thelma Lou and Lucinda), a Terrier mix named Sadie, and a Golden/Aussie mix named Penny. Sadie, Thelma Lou and Lucinda were all rescued from the Roanoke Valley SPCA, and Penny from Franklin County. Amy has a degree from Virginia Western Community College and is also Certified Fear Free. Amy chose to work at Mountain View Humane because after working in private practice and shelter medicine, she wanted to expand her knowledge as well as take on new opportunities within the organization.Â
