Mountain View Humane was established in 2010 as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit and is a subsidiary of the Roanoke Valley SPCA that operates the Waldron-Ricci Spay Neuter Clinic in Christiansburg. In 2012 we opened the Sabrina & Lucky Garvin Spay Neuter Clinic in Roanoke.   In 2017 we transitioned the Roanoke Clinic to a mobile spay/neuter services to more directly serve the clients who needed us most.

Our mission remains to end pet overpopulation in Southwest Virginia and Southern West Virginia by providing affordable, high-quality spay and neuter services to the general public. We also strive to provide humane education on the benefits of aggressive spay and neuter programs.

Spay/neuter is a simple solution to the complex problem of the euthanasia epidemic, which destroys 4 million animals each year and is a direct result of animals left unaltered in communities. We know the love that a companion pet brings to our lives, and want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to not only have a companion pet, but provide it with the care needed. We rely solely on community support and grant funding to operate our clinic.
