Feral Cat Packages 

• Feral cats receive special pricing for spay or neuter surgery and rabies vaccination.
• To receive this package the cat must come into the clinic in a feral cat trap and be ear-tipped at time of surgery.
• An ear tip signifies to others that the cat is spayed or neutered and vaccinated against rabies.

Roanoke County Pet Pilot Program (RCACP)

$45 Off Spay/Neuter Surgery for Owned Cats and Dogs

• RCACP provides free microchip + rabies vaccine for each animal.
• The owner is responsible for additional fees such as dog weight, in heat, cryptorchid, pyometra, etc.
• RCACP screens clients for program eligibility. If eligible, you will receive a call from MVH to schedule an appointment.
• Transportation is available for this program.
• Contact the Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection to sign up:  540-344-4922

 

Salem Animal Shelter

$28 Off Spay/Neuter Surgery for Salem Residents with Voucher.

• Owner will pay $77 for surgery, $20 for rabies vaccine, and any additional charges incurred at time of surgery including dog weight fee, in heat fee, cryptorchid fee, pyometra fee, etc.
• Voucher is good for both cat or dog spay/neuter.
• This voucher may be paired with The Valentine Fund for an additional $25 off for cats only.
• Voucher must be signed and given to MVH at time of surgery check-in or all fees will be charged to the client.
• Once you have a voucher, call Mountain View Humane to schedule an appointment at 540-382-0222. 

 

Protectors N Paws – Giles County Residents

Covers Full Cost of Spay/Neuter Surgery and Rabies Vaccine.

• Client must contact or visit Protectors N Paws at (540) 922-8036 to receive a voucher.
• Voucher must be given to MVH at time of surgery check-in or all fees will be charged to the client.
• Once you have a voucher, call MVH to schedule an appointment at 540-382-0222.

 

Montgomery County Friends of Animal Care & Adoption Center (MCFACC)

$112 Dog Spay or Neuter Surgery

$97 Cat Spay or Neuter Surgery

• MCACAC (Montgomery County Animal Care & Adoption Center) distributes the spay/neuter voucher to Montgomery County residents based on financial need. Call 540-382-5795 for info and voucher.
• The voucher pays for the cost of the spay/neuter surgery only.
• The pet owner is responsible for additional fees including:
  •  $20: Rabies vaccine fee, unless they can show proof of an up-to-date vaccine at time of appointment.
  • $15: Weight fee for dogs 60 pounds or over.
  • If other conditions are identified by the veterinarian at time of surgery such as and animal in heat, cryptorchid, pyometra, hernia, etc., an MVH staff member will call you to discuss the situation and price adjustment.
• If you receive a MCACAC voucher, you have one month to contact MVH to schedule your appointment.
• The Voucher must be given to MVH at time of surgery check-in or all fees will be charged to the client at that time.

 

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

NO-SHOW FEE – Clients who do not show up for their appointment at Mountain View Humane (225 Industrial Dr., Christiansburg, VA 24073) will be charged a $30 no-show fee and will forfeit their full deposit.

LATE FEE – Mountain View Humane maintains a strict spay/neuter surgery schedule. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late for their surgery appointment will be charged a $10 late fee.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE FEE – $15

BOARDING FEE/EVENING LATE FEE – A $10 late fee will be charged for pet pick-ups after 4:30 p.m. Pets not picked up by 5:00 p.m. will be charged an overnight fee of $35 per dog and $25 per cat. If boarded, your animal will be fed and walked, then placed in a kennel, and left alone overnight.
